English. The international language of business. The second language of more countries than any other. The language for trade, industry, music, entertainment, sport and the Internet.

How well does your company use it?

The answer, based on a recent study of the annual reports, corporate brochures and marketing materials of fifty of Europe's leading companies, is that there is an 80% chance of elementary mistakes - and a 25% chance that your company's use of English is bad enough to be positively embarrassing.

The same is likely to be true of your website. We often see wonderfully-designed sites which are badly let down by the poor use of English.

It is simple but true. Millions and millions of people of every nationality speak excellent English - but writing it is much, much more difficult.

'inperfectenglish' provides the solution

Silly and unnecessary mistakes can be avoided. Why settle for less than 100% accuracy when a fast and effective solution is only an e-mail away?

Our service is designed to eliminate unnecessary mistakes quickly and cost-efficiently and add value and quality to your ideas.

We can take on just about anything with the exception of legal documents.

The work is done by wise English copywriters with long years of experience in UK and international business and commerce. Everything you send is first read carefully from end to end so that the intentions and meaning are understood. Then, as necessary, we get to work in one of the following ways:-

Service One. Proof Reading and Correcting

A rapid-return service that concentrates on grammar, spelling and punctuation. We run a 'level one' check on every draft we receive and, if this is sufficient, return the material to you within 24-48 hours.

Service Two. Rephrasing / Rewriting

Sometimes the problem runs deeper and we have to rewrite all or part of the draft. This contingency often arises when the original draft has been translated from another language or has been produced by someone whose written English is nowhere near as good as is spoken.

This often happens.

In these cases, we rewrite as close to the meaning we can get and will work and rework the draft until you're happy with it.

Service Three. Original Writing

If you feel you simply cannot get started, send us a brief and all the background information you have available and we'll take on the task from the beginning.

"Technology to Toys" broadly describes our writing experience.

What do we charge?

How we charge is, perhaps, a better question - and the answer is simple.

We charge in half-hourly segments at £50 per segment. This makes £50.00 our minimum charge and we work fast and diligently. Depending on the material you send us, we will work from 30 minutes to a maximum of two hours without further reference, unless you specifically ask for a quote first.

Anything we feel needs more time we will quote for automatically unless, faced with a crisis, you instruct us otherwise.

How do we charge?

Very simple. You send us the work and an official purchase order (with your VAT number). We do it. We invoice you and provide banking details. You pay by return.

If the task is large, it is better for both parties that we send you an estimate first.

There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is society, where none intrudes,
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more,
From these our interviews, in which I steal
From all I may be, or have been before,
To mingle with the Universe, and feel
What I can ne'er express, yet cannot all conceal.

Lord Byron 1788 - 1824
